Please can you pass on our thanks to everyone at the hotel who helped make our wedding day on 30th July such a perfect occasion.
We were able to relax and enjoy the day thanks to everyone's hard work and both the ceremony room and the dining room were beautifully prepared.
So many of our guests have asked us to pass on their compliments regarding the excellence of the food and the outstanding service of the staff, especially as there were so many of us, including special requests for children and specific diets.
The garden was much admired and made a lovely setting for our photographs and we really couldn't fault the day in any way.

The staff were attentive and there for us all day, they were always on hand to let us know what was going on. Any questions we had were answered and we never felt like we were left to our own devices. I would strongly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to get married. This is the perfect venue. It is lovely that we were the only group of people there and able to have access to the garden, the conservatory, the restaurant etc. It felt very personal.

We knew from the moment we walked into the Alveston House Hotel that it was the right venue for our wedding reception, and we made exactly the right choice. From the moment we began to plan the day the hotel staff were helpful and courteous, and nothing was too much trouble. This exceptionally high level of service continued throughout the wedding weekend. Even though there was another wedding the day before ours, the Alveston House were able to accommodate our guests who were travelling a distance to attend. They set up a private room for the groom and 14 of our guests to dine and relax on the eve of the wedding. On the wedding day itself one of our guests' hearing aid broke, and staff phoned round until they found somewhere it could be taken to be fixed. Everyone said it was "beyond the call of duty". The wedding reception was fabulous. The public areas and garden were immaculate, the staff friendly and helpful, and the restaurant beautifully decorated. The food was excellent, all dietary requirements were catered for, and it was all served efficiently and with a smile. We chose to use the house DJ, with whom we were in contact before the wedding with our special requests. The room and dancefloor were just the right size for the number of guests, and the evening buffet was of the same high standard as before. We are so glad that we spent our wedding night at the hotel. As so many of our guests stayed there, breakfast the morning after was like another party! The hotel even allowed some of our guests who had stayed elsewhere to join us for breakfast. Almost 40 of us descended on the dining room about 9am, and were served with great food once again, promptly and still with a smile! All of our guests were highly complimentary about the Alveston House Hotel. There was not one complaint. Afterwards we said it was a shame we couldn't get married twice, as we'd like to book the same venue and do it all over again! Thank you to Julie, Carole, Lisa, Michael and all the Alveston House Hotel staff. You helped make our wedding a wonderful day to remember for the rest of our lives. ♥

Your staff could not have been more courteous, helpful and friendly... Particular thanks is due for the way in which you accommodated our disabled guest, both in terms of the location of his room and the extra chair in his bathroom, which, to his delight, was already in place when he arrived... The seating in the dining room was just about perfect - people were neither too far apart nor too close together... Everyone without exception thought the meal excellent, with the pudding especially drawing rave reviews all round. Everyone also commented on the excellent service throughout the meal. The disco was just right, perfectly pitched to the age group of those present... All in all you and your staff could not have done more to facilitate the enjoyment of our special occasion... We shall not hesitate to recommend your hotel to friends and acquaintances for future special occasions.
