"Just a short note to say a very big thank you for helping us to celebrate Mum's 70th birthday last Saturday. The meal and the cake were wonderful. The good weather added to the afternoon enabling us to sit in the garden after the meal to enjoy drinks while the children played. An enjoyable afternoon was had by all. Thank you again."

"Just to say a big thank you for the brilliant 50th birthday lunch you provided for our son Robert and family gathering last Saturday 24th March. The food was of the highest standard as was the presentation. The staff were very efficient, polite and attentive yet unobtrusive. The setting was delightful and your lovely gardens a bonus on such a lovely day. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and we will surely be returning for any future occasion."

We had a wonderful experience at the Alveston and an equally wonderful afternoon tea.  The hotel is situated just off the main road but as soon as you step in you are in a fantastic, relaxing setting and feel like you are miles away!! We enjoyed a champagne afternoon tea which was served in the lounge.  I am a bit of an afternoon tea obsessive but I have to say my high standards were met.  The food was classic and of a high standard. Served promptly with plenty of tea we could not ask for more.  Staff were lovely and very welcoming.  Afterwards we sat in the pretty gardens at the back of the hotel and soaked up the April sun.  We will be back soon to enjoy the 3 course lunch, you will not be disappointed,  this place is a real gem!

Just a little card to say thank you very much for our Ruby Wedding finger buffet and celebration on Saturday. We had such a good time and the service and food you gave us was excellent. It was lovely to get our families together, which, due to geography, doesn't happen very often, and the baby-listening service you provided was excellent and enable our daughter to relax...

"Thank you so much for all your help in arranging our special luncheon on Sunday.  Everything went so well and many of our friends who had never visited the Alveston House Hotel were very impressed with the meal and the general ambience of the room etc.  All the staff worked very hard and fully deserved the gratuity I gave when paying the final bill.  The nice weather certainly helped and gave us the opportunity to take photographs outside as well as inside.  The many food choices pleased the children in particular and they will also have lasting memories of the occasion as well as the adults.  Please do pass on our thanks to everyone involved."
