We just wanted to say a huge thank you to The Alveston House Hotel for an absolutely perfect wedding day reception on Saturday. We were so blown away by everything you all did and it was perfect. Our guests loved the room and decorations and everyone was raving about the food which was stunning. We were so happy with everything and everyone who was helping us out was lovely..Thank you so much for making our day perfect. We will definitely have you as our first choice for any future celebrations and I won't be able to stop raving about you to everyone!

What an amazing place! Our Golden wedding celebration was a knockout! Thanks to the kindness and attentiveness of everyone at the hotel, the food was wonderful, the room we were given was terrific. I was even allowed to put up my own decorations. Our son stayed there for the night, he'd driven a long way, and we had a great dinner together. I can't find any fault with this lovely, clean, comfortable and attentive place and, no, I'm not related to the owner!

The present Mrs B and I dropped in here for lunch yesterday. The lady that owns it (I later discovered) happened to be in reception and was very welcoming. Our coats were taken and we were shown into a very pleasant dining room, very light and clean. Service was attentive and polite, just right! We enjoyed a pleasant lunch, very tasty and more than we could eat! Really good coffee to finish. We got chatting with some other people, everyone commented how much they enjoyed the experience at the hotel. Well worth a visit :-)

A group of 19 family members stayed at Alveston House for a couple of nights to attend my son's wedding in Bristol. 22 of us sat down to a lovely meal on Friday evening. The facilities were excellent, the food was delicious but above all the staff were extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble. I would unhesitatingly recommend the hotel. If we are ever that way again we shall certainly stay there.

We stayed at the Alveston Hotel to attend a family wedding. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and shown to our room which was lovely. We wanted just a small snack at lunchtime and they provided exactly what we wanted (which wasnt on their menu). Evening meal we had there was also very nice as was the breakfast. Good choice of food. Asked to borrow an iron which was promptly delivered to our room with a board too. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

I ate in this very crisply restaurant as a guest at the hotel and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The canapes were a deft touch and coupled with a glass of their excellent house red, a great accompaniment to the task of choosing from the varied menu. The menu has an excellent selection and the Market Menu at £25 for three courses delivered excellent dishes, beautifully presented. This was a really good dining experience and I would make a detour spcifically to dine there again.

Every time I have a birthday which ends with zero, I have a party at Alveston House Hotel! I find it fairly stressful arranging such events but the every single member of staff is calm, professional, friendly, and efficient, so I find I have no choice but to relax and enjoy myself. Saturday 26th January was no exception. My guests and I have nothing but praise for the food, the service, the venue. The entire event was seamless. Thank you all! Kay Langworthy Feb 2013

Morning Julie, please thank the A- team for making our Valentines dinner perfect. It was great to see the restaurant full, busy and buzzing – all of the diners were having a great time and the team were working hard, effectively and unobtusively. Here’s a little of what I saw and what we remarked on. The ‘little touches’ of; rose petals, balloons, drinks specials, chocs and a leaving gift were exquisite The menu was creative and inspired and all the food was cooked to perfection. We overheard other guests commenting about the great food and especially on the quality of the meats. The entire evening scored a 10/10 Thank You - Liz Griffiths

by Martin Knapp Director MPK Loft Conversions 30th Jan 2013 Thank you so much to all the Alveston House Hotel Team. I attended a seminar given by Dr Gregory Haddock (Business Coach) last Thursday 24th January at Alveston House and had a great day. What a fantastic venue and facility! Easy to find on the A.38 with great links just off the M4 and M5 motorways . From the warm friendly welcome at arrival in reception and then throughout the day, we were all as a group of some 40 people extremely well looked after. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits at regular intervals and a fantastic buffet at lunch time. All laid out and timed to perfection enabling us as a group to relax and network during the breaks. I am looking forward to going back for similar occasions and will hope to use the Hotel itself for an overnight stay in the very near future to sample the other delights it has to offer. Recommendations will be passed onto friends and family also. You are doing a great job keep it going.

Just back from a conference at this hotel today. The hotel accomodated very professionally for over 40 people and ensured the event went vey smoothly. The conference had extra attendees turn up unexpectedly and even this didn't phase the hotel so I was very, very impressed. The facilities are excellent and the food at lunchtime was just right. Extremely tasty with an excellent variety of food to suit all tastes. I will definately return to this venue and will also enquire about hosting a private party in the future. Thank you to all the staff they were very polite and extremely efficient. 10/10

The Alveston House Hotel is all about quality, from the moment you arrive in the car park and walk into the warm and welcoming reception area you know that you are in a well managed and maintained Hotel. Following a warm welcome we were shown into the equally impressive dining room, where the tables had been tastefully laid to reflect the Chrstmas spirt. Our party of nine had already pre-ordered a variety of traditional Christmas fayre, and all commented on the quality of both the food and service provided to us throughout the course of the evening. Although I cannot comment on the accommodation or a la carte menu (but based on our experience) I would expect an equally high standard, the hotel presents also offers a good choice of reasonably priced quality wines.

We stayed at Alveston House Hotel and were immediately impressed with the staff and surroundings, both showed attention to detail; the staff making you feel they completely enjoyed providing attentive and happy service, the hotel and room décor in fantastic order. We stayed for a single night but were made to feel the most important people in the hotel, night and day staff were fantastic, the breakfast was great and small things like taxi bookings were nothing more than part of the service – thank you all at the Alveston. By far better than and branded hotel.

I would like to thank all the staff at Alveston House Hotel for the perfect wedding day for my son and new daughter in law, James and Georgie. Nothing was any trouble and when the registrar failed to arrive the staff reassured us, and managed the situation with ease. The food, service and organisation was exemplary. We all had the most wonderful time and would highly recommend this venue to others. Thank you so much and I hope you all have a very happy Christmas.

LouderVoice and LouderVoice UK Reviews

"Well, I do not know where to start about this Hotel.  From the comfortable rooms, fantastic staff and wonderful food - the chef is brill!

We have just stayed at the Alveston House Hotel prior and after our daughter's wedding (which was at a different location) in all 4 nights.  With many of our family and guests.

We were welcomed with such kindest and sincerity, organising such a large party when you do not live close by can be difficult, but their organisation and professionalism made all this so easy for me.

We certainly would recommend this Hotel, if you want to feel at home, relaxed, comfortable and eat well.  Be looked after by attentive, caring staff - this is the place.  We look forward to future stays here when we visit our daughter and new son-in-law in Bristol."

Trip Advisor Review - August 2012

I stayed overnight on a buisness trip, hadn't stayed here before but it looked good on web searches.  I have to say it lived up to the billing.  The staff were very friendly, the rooms spacious and fitted out to a high standard, dinner in the restaurant was very good as was breakfast the following morning.  I would certainly stay here again and i've no hesitation in recommending the place.  Excellent.

Trip Advisor Review - December 2012

"Although we travel a fair bit. this was the first time we had taken our small dog away.  She was warmly welcomed and this helped make for a thoroughly enjoyable and restful stay.  I had sort of feared that we might be ostracised to some sort of 'dog zone' with accompanying odour, but on the contrary, our room (28) was centrally situated on the first floor, spotlessly clean and freshly decorated with ample quality furnishings and king size bed, and not a whiff of dog  The bed was certainly one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on, and the linen very high quality cotton and perfectly laundered.  Also a first, and joy of joys, we each had a choice of pillow, thick or thin, brilliant as my husband always finds hotel pillows too bouncy!  In short, a delightful stay."

Trip Advisor Review - 30th September 2012

"Fabulous atmosphere, high quality residence, great food, great staff!"

Gary Siddall, Stockport

My husband and myself stayed here when my neice got married recently. We highly recommend this hotel as the food we had in the wedding reception was excellent and also the breakfast buffet was well stocked, there was plenty for all tastes. The room we had was tastefully decorated and we had a very comfortable nights sleep. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in a good hotel in Bristol.
