I would just like to thank you and your staff for the lovely Christmas Lunch we had at Alveston House Hotel on 22nd December. Everyone had a very good time and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The service was excellent, couldn't be faulted.

We would like to express our appreciation to you and your staff for the excellent afternoon last Saturday on the celebration lunch for our Diamons Wedding. All of our guests were impressed with the quality of their food together with the attentive table service. It proved a splendid end to celebrate our 60 years together.

The waiting staff were so helpful and attentive it could not have been better, even the weather was perfect. To finish the afternoon with tea and coffee in the lovely private garden was the icing on the cake. We look forward to spending many other occasions with you, starting with a Sunday Christmas lunch in December.

The whole event was really enjoyable and could not have been better; I know that Mum thought that everything was excellent. The lunch was delicious, so well presented and served efficiently by your delightful staff, who could not have been more helpful. Thank you also for the lovely cake, it was just right.

Carole - many thanks to you , Lisa and your colleagues for making yesterday such an enjoyable occasion. The food was excellent and the care and attention of the staff was unobtrusive but just perfect.
Thanks, too, for your help to us in clarifying what we wanted on the day. With both bridesmaids and the best man present plus both our sons (one of whom came on the overnight boat from Roscoff - and is on it again now to return!) we were just thrilled.
We very much enjoyed the garden afterwards also in wonderful warmth and the confetti, although not for us, was much enjoyed especially by the four-year-old.
Thanks again - everyone wants to return in ten years time for our Diamond celebration!

This is to say a huge thank you to you all for making my 70th birthday celebration such a memorable occasion. From the decorations to the delicious buffet and everything in between - it was completely seamless and all my guests said the ambience and relaxed atmosphere made the venue just perfect.
A special thank you to Carole for arranging the jazz band at the last minute and for over-seeing everything. What a star!

It was a lucky day for us when your name was recommended to me by a customer of my hairdresser and we will not hesitate to "spread the word" to anyone we meet who is looking for the perfect dining experience.

Carole Hotchkiss - 80th Birthday Party - 27th February 2011 I would like to say a huge thank you for Dad's 80th Birthday Party last Sunday. It was perfect, the staff, the food and the room were all excellent. Even at the beginning, Dad sat in the window seats and was able to see people parking their cars. His face was a picture, such a surprise for him. He said he couldn't have wished for a better party. Thank you once again.

Trip Advisor 20 Aug 2010 We held our ruby wedding celebrations here and booked rooms for several of our friends. The actual celebratory meal was of the highest quality; the service throughout was outstanding with every attention to detail. Our guests were very impressed with the standard of the rooms, high standards of cleanliness, pleasant decor and very comfortable beds. The quality of the breakfast was second to none. Where else nowadays would you have a breakfast freshly cooked to order?

Liz Collyer - Birthday Dinner - 12 August 2010 Having stayed at the hotel many times on business, I chose it for the celebration of a significant birthday - it's motorway access made it convenient for friends and family. I was given a wide choice from which to choose my dinner menu and advice on wines to accompany the meal. The staff made every endeavour to ensure that my wishes were met. The evening went perfectly - the dining room looked stunning, my guests were greeted warmly and served with drinks and canapes on arrival, the service was perfect and discreet during dinner and the meal was memorable. After dinner, we relaxed and chatted with no pressure to move away from the tables. The staff checked several times during the evening that I was happy with what was happening and I only had to look at one and they were by my side asking if I needed anything! Next morning, we had a relaxed breakfast with members of the family and again the staff were attentive and asking how I had enjoyed the previous evening. Both during the evening and after, my guests commented on the quality of food and service. Several have said that the next big occasion they have, Alveston House will be their venue of choice.
