Our appreciation of the exemplary service we received during our recent stay at Alveston House Hotel, to celebrate our Diamond Wedding Anniversary, cannot be overstated. Every staff member we met was friendly and courteous.
The day was an outstanding success from Afternoon Tea to our Celebration Dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. Accomodation and breakfast - perfect.
All the staff are to be congratulated - Chef, the table service staff and the reception staff. All our party were unanimous in their praise.
We very much appreciate your help Carole in the advice you gave us and for ensuring everything went to plan.
Thank you all for making it a day to remember.

Brenda and I would like to thank you very much, and your staff, for providing us with such a lovely evening last Saturday to celebrate our 80th birthdays.
The setting, the food and service were top class and everyone who came definitely enjoyed themselves, especially the movement between the tables for the various courses.
Thanks for all your hard work in making this all happen - we shall always have happy memories of this special occasion.

Our personal thanks to you, Carole and all the members of your staff for your help in ensuring that our evening event on March 19th was such a success.
The talk went on for longer than we anticipated such was the enthusiasm of the speaker and the members of the Bristol Aero Collection at 'Question Time'!
The dinner was a fitting way to end the evening and our thanks to your chef for a splendid meal.

What a wonderful time our party of 26 had at Alveston House Hotel on 11th February 2010. We wanted it to be as perfect as it could be for our parents' 'Diamond Wedding Anniversary' and it was. Thank you all for your kind attention, your friendliness and professionalism in making it a day to remember.
The meal was delicious, the waiting staff efficient and unobtrusive and the dining room looked beautiful. We all also enjoyed the comfortable bedrooms and the hearty breakfast the next morning, the fresh fruit was an added bonus.
We very much appreciate your input Carole in the advice you gave us and by carrying out our requests.
It is with no hesitation that we would recommend the Alveston House Hotel as an excellent venue for an event. We feel it is very important to give compliments when they are due and our party were unanimous in their praise.

It was not our intention to call at this hotel, but we had just made a visit to the Mall in Bristol, a place where it is easy to spend money. On leaving we decided to drive to Thornbury, but the traffic was so heavy because of road works we decided to stop at the first place we saw. I am now pleased the road works held us up as the luncheon we had at this exceptionally clean hotel was first class: watercress and green pepper soup, confit of duck with red onion marmalade, and to follow, fillet of pork filled with Gruyere cheese and a light cream sauce. The meal could not be faulted. Another major point - all of the staff made you most welcome.

We are ladies that lunch at least once a month, but at Christmas we wanted something special, so decided on Alveston House Hotel, with its elegant restaurant Carriages, we were not disappointed. The staff were courteous and the food excellent. The deep fried brie was the best we've ever had. We would definitely recommend Carriages to anyone and we look forward to returning.

The whole occasion went entirely to plan, the food was excellent, the tables were laid very attractively, the service was quiet and unobtrusive, and all the guests received exactly what they had ordered!
