There were tears of joy all round when a group of old friends came together at Alveston House Hotel recently for what turned out to be an emotional afternoon and evening.

The Shipping Company Reunion party was a huge success with people from all over the country, some of whom hadn’t seen each other for 30 years or more, getting together for a party on Saturday 28 March.

The guests were able to catch up and reminisce whilst taking afternoon tea in the lounge. Then, after a quick freshen up it was time to party with a sumptuous 3 course private dinner served in the Garden Suite.

We received a wonderful letter of thanks from the organiser of the evening, Mrs Wilson, who was overwhelmed with the success of the party.

We were thrilled to be able to host the event. One of the most satisfying aspects of being in the hotel industry is to see the absolute joy of guests when their event goes so smoothly and without a hitch.
