Henry Wilmer with the Alveston House Hotel Ambasador Shield

Congratulations to Henry Wilmer who has received the ‘Alveston House Hotel Ambassadors Award’  at the recent Castle School Achievement Presentation evening.

Henry received the award for helping the School with various projects including the producing of the ‘Music from the Castle School  Show’ on Thornbury FM.  As well as helping his teachers with the technical element of the programme Henry also has his own show ‘Chat & Chill’.

The Castle School achievement evening was held on Thursday 9 July.  Over 140 pupils at the school were nominated by teachers and fellow students to receive  awards for achievement either in particular subjects or for their attitude towards certain situations.  A few tears were shed during the evening as teachers shared with the audience the reasons why the children had been nominated for their award.

At a time when young people often receive a bad press it was so refreshing to see so many recognised not only for their academic achievements but also for their qualities as companions and team players.  Well done to all involved with the evening.
